What is WIC?
What is the
Women’s Leadership Team?
All women
are considered part of WIC (Women in the Church). It is a nationwide ministry of the
Presbyterian Church in
The
Women’s Leadership Team of Bethel Church was established in 2004 by the Elders
and Deacons to help with the
women’s ministry in the church. The Team
meets monthly to plan and organize various opportunities for the women
of the church.
The members
of the Team are selected by the
Elders and serve for selected
terms. The Team welcomes suggestions
and encourages all women to contact a member of the Team with ideas or
concerns.

VISION STATEMENT
The
Women’s Leadership Team is committed to becoming mature disciples
of Christ who love their Lord and fulfill their role in the covenant community.
The
Women’s Leadership Team is to provide opportunities to glorify and enjoy God
while being servant leaders.
GOALS
* To inform women of the ministries of

mutual ministry
* To evaluate the effectiveness of ministry
to women and to adjust activities as needed
* To train women to disciple and mentor each
other

MINISTRIES
MEAL MINISTRY:
There is
a coordinator for each geographical shepherding group who supports the elder
and deacon of that group by coordinating meals for the families in a specific
area.
FREEZER MINISTRY:
Twice a
year there is a “Covenant Casserole Cooks Day” to assemble casseroles for the
church freezer. These meals are used to
help people and
members in need of a meal.
SHOWER MINISTRY:
There is
a coordinator that works with various members to plan, organize, and give
wedding and baby showers for members at
MISCELLANEOUS
HELPS MINISTRY:
This
ministry provides transportation, cleaning, and miscellaneous help on an as-needed
basis. This ministry assists the elders
and deacons in their service to the church as deemed necessary.
