Bethel Children
Bethel Church takes very seriously the commandment of our Lord to
teach His word to children (Deuteronomy 11:19). Bethel's commitment
to this is structured into two small groups, GEMS and Cadets. Each
group is under adult leadership who minister to children's needs
in a small group environment. Through Bible study and discussion,
boys and girls discover who God is and how He works in their lives
and in the world. Both of these groups meet upstairs at Bethel every
Wednesday evening at 7:00pm.

GEMS is a group for girls in Grades 3 through 8. The girls work towards earning badges, making crafts, enjoy outings (swimming, skating, etc.) and conduct various mission projects. Our goal is to introduce the girls to God's saving love and grace. We attempt to teach and demonstrate how to "walk the talk". Our evening is made up of singing, bible lessons, and crafts. We have different outings or events approximately four times per season, ending with a year-end camping retreat. Click here to visit the official site of the national organization for GEMS.

Christian values are stressed in a wide variety of activities. The boys can work towards earning various badges, doing various crafts, and participating in various mission projects and fun events throughout the season. The program includes crafts, playing games, doing badge work, having Bible lessons, camping, hiking, and various other activities, all in a small group setting. Each small group is called a cadre.
